Since all religions (basically) offer the same help and guidance, it's rather difficult to chose. The major religions of today, also have the same morals and promises (again, basically).
Since all claim to be right and use miracles and scriptures to back up their claim, it's kind of impossible to filter to see who's right and who's wrong.
The only real evidence the one religion has over the other is in their scripture and using once own book to prove the other wrong is rather pointless.

Those claims are made by other religions as well. Miracles were done by the Egyptians in the OT, so it's obvious that Christians aren't the only ones who can make these claims. The koran is also filled with miracles and Occult Japan Or The Way of the Gods: An Esoteric Study of Japanese Personality and Possession (1894) from Percivall describes shinto miracles.
So, I could look at theirs and belief as well.
