Re: Hi. I'm the hubby
Ifen
I remember many of these lucid dreams.I have been hit by trains, fallen over cliffs, been chased by wild animals and even at one point learned to control the outcome of the dream.I was able to go outside my body and travel around my neighbourhood and pretend that I was seeing events that were outside my room at the time I was sleeping.
I rarely have dreams that I remember anymore.I find that a shame since they were a lot of fun.

Re: The answer is what caused the dream

I have experienced dreams that were simply the culmination of subconscious thoughts processing a day’s work and I have experienced dreams so demonic that I felt I was in a battle of life and death.
And what level of belief background do you have to begin with when these "demonic" dreams began?

Demonic oppression in dreams was on 10% of my demonic spritual experiences
I have to head to work but I wish to ask what these dreams entailed.
[qs]90% of my experience and often torment occured while I was awake./qs
This is unclear to me also. What happened at these times?
Get back to you tonight around 8:00 pm MST.

Well I must say this is quite a story however it is anecdotal and this will sound like a brush-off but this is definitely poor evidence.Dare to believe is not something that goes over well with myself since evidence presented to me must be something that can be demonstrated not merely talked about. As Shakespeare put it so well.
Henry IV, Part I, Act III, Scene I:
Glendower: "I can call spirits from the vasty deep."
Hotspur: "Why, so can I, or so can any man;
"But will they come when you do call for them?"
If you have abilities such as this there are organizations that will test you under controlled conditions and there is even a million dollar prize available to those who can demonstrate these kinds of powers.A word of warning though. The prize has been around for quite sometime and has yet to be claimed after many tries by many people.
The details can be accessed at this site here JREF - Home
Please feel free to offer evidence of such psychic abilities to me.Perhaps a trip through astral projection to my place of residence with a description of my computer. This would be a really great test for I am quite certain you would not be able to fake this as my computer is not common. In this way I would not be given the old vague half hearted semi vision waste of time that is usually bantered about.
I hope you do not fall back on the old dodge of not being willing to just do it for my amusement because I assure you this is not for amusements sake.I am dead serious because I would become your biggest booster if you could provide something other than the Kreskin bag of bullshit cold reading level of trickery.
Put your cards on the table and let us see the actuality of these powers. Please?

LOL Yes He was a real winner that one.Amazing at being able to shotgun an audience to have them do the work of filling in the blanks.

Jeez1 Is that bag of bones still walking around? The last I heard about him was in the nineties in a note in the Skeptical inquirer where he had sent a letter to a woman in Victoria B.C. statingthat he was willing to use his vast powers to her advantage. Of course in the opening sentence he told her the standard "I feel that you are such and such" as though he had psychic knowledge of her ,praising her, stroking the ego before laying down the cost involved in his supplying her with his service.
Too bad his psychic ability did not extend to realizing she had been dead awile.

Re: ok. A piece of my mind
Dynamo321
In my new age days I used to demonstrate the effects of spirit regardless of belief by altering energy in anyone I so chose. I could reverse the flow of energy within your body to feel cold / hot. I could almost knock you out with sheer energic power if I so chose. There are many out there that are presently like the way I was.
Yeah right.Methinks your ego overcomes you.I doubt you could alter hot and cold in your showerhead. What baseless unsubstantiated drivel.
You are a legend in your own mind.
That proves energy but that does not prove spirit.
*Ahem* That claims much but proves nothing. I figured as much would come of these extraordinary contentions.
It is a tale/ Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,/ Signifying nothing
My military friend would not appreciate me divulging his name to a bunch of strangers. Sorry. You can look for yourself. If it doesn't interest you enough to look than it doesn't matter. He was in the canadian military and worked directly with the americans for years. It is amazing the similiarities and the vast differences between our two militaries.
Your military friend is full of shit and you can have him contact me personally if you wish. I live in Canada and have friends in the forces. I bet you not only can't produce your "friend" but that he never existed in the first place.
You talk the talk but you walk nowhere.Either put up something of value or take a hike.

Re: Real Experience
Dynamo321
Well before I chew into the rest of your postsI would like to establish something if I may.In your first post of this thread you make this statement to Arachnophilia.
Message 20 of 91 11-24-2004 06:24 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i'll sign my hubby up for your challenge, Arach.
As for the initial topic in this stream my husband pretty much grew up with a tie to the spiritual world. He played with spirit kids when an young child, had familiar spirits when a teen & witnessed the possession of one of his closest friends in college. He performed the exorcism for that friend. When we met in school (i was a firm atheist at the time) he taught me to see, manipulate & control spirits. After 21 years of being a apart of hauntings, exorcisms and the like, it became aparent to him that the authority of Christ overruled all. We are now christians.
I'll make him aware of your potential future debates. I'm sure he'll enjoy them
However in another post here you answer me thus.
New ager at the time. My wife was even more so when she had such dreams. However these dreams tend to be more prevelant in people who are "baby" christians or are just becoming christians. Some older christians don't know how to fix the problem but that is less common in my experience.
Demonic oppression in dreams was on 10% of my demonic spritual experiences 90% of my experience and often torment occured while I was awake. Just so that you know.
When a personal friend became posessed (when we were deep newagers) there was no promise of great things. The spirit cut strait to the chase, evil, death and other junk like that.
Which side of the sexual spectrum do you belong to?
