Faith, I am curious. From your point of view, is it possible that some or all of the people executed in Salem Massachusetts in 1692 during the Salem Witch Trials were indeed witches? And if so, were their executions warranted?
I am not asking whether or not you believe that they were witches, just if it is possible that they were, from your POV.

My apologies Faith--I had intended to accept your reply without response, but I had also expected your reply to be more substantive than it was. I know you are reponding to others on this thread, but I ask you to bear with me for a bit if you will. Also, I realize that this isn't exactly on topic, but I am quite curious.
My understanding is that you believe in a literal interpretation of the bible. Exodus 22:18 (KJB) states: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." This seems to imply to me that witches do exist, according to that version of the bible. I would then assume that you believe that witches exist. What, then, is special about the Salem witches that you are unsure whether they could possibly have been actual witches? Or do I have an assumption that is invalid?
