Is Christian Radio for real?

I happened to stumble across a Christian radio station the other day and listened for a while to see what it was like. I was appalled by the stupid reasoning, the oily pretentiousness, the outright lieing and the promotion of dubious health supplements.The chief emphasis of most of the material seemed to be to induce feelings of guilt, fear and in-group smugness in the listeners. Oh, yes, and to get people to send money.Do people really take that guff seriously? If they do, how do they stay sane?Faith and Belief?

Yes, it is hilarious. When I have had a hard day at work, I listen for a few minutes driving home. A good laugh, and a few moments of feeling superior are a good spirits-lifter"

No, no, your legs are still safely the same length.I must admit that I am constantly amazed at how dumb the stuff on those stations is.I would like to know, however, if what goes on in fundamentalist churches is anything like what I hear on those radio stations. I very much hope that is not the case.
