Hi Dan,
Hello, I am Dan and I am a new member. I am wondering how many Christians and creationists there are compared to evolutionists and agnostics and creationists in this forum.
Welcome to the board. I don't think you can put christians and evolutionists in separate camps automatically.
I believe in evolution, but I also believe that the theory as per Darwin, neo-Darwianian and modern current Darwinian advocates is not complete and there is much room for modifications adjustments and improvements to the theory.
I am Roman Catholic and believe the Catholic Theological position fits in with evolution and Christianity.
I have problems with "random mutation" as an explanation of evolution and "natural" selection.
Don't know your postion on evolution, but a good read is James A. Shapiro, Univ. Chicago, for a theory that I belive is the one for the future.
It is a very interesting group of people, more scientists than non, but, I have found as a lay man, that, most, are usually willing to explain the science in a really logical and concrete way w/o being condescending.
Note I said Most.
A suggestion is that you read and be well versed on the subject you post on and be ready to defend your point of view.
