First off, I do think you've had your character unnecessarily impugned in this thread, and I apologize to you for them.However, I do have to disagree with this. The large riot due to the beauty contest that everyone is familiar ended with 20 churches and 8 mosques being burned; however, the churches were much smaller than the mosques and served less people each, so it was about even in terms of religious followers who had their place of worship burned.It's unfair to pretend that Christians are somehow less violent worldwide. It's just not true. If you don't believe me, tell that to the victims of the Phalangists.------------------

While I don't have any sympathy on the front of Sharia (just as I wouldn't on a law that would make our legal system, for example, be based on the 10 Commandments or the laws of Leviticus), you can quite easily - and honestly - replace the word "church" with "mosque", and replace the Christian widows and youth with Muslim ones. You've refused to address the fact that the violence has been going both ways quite heavily, and that Christians have done just as atrocious things in this conflict as well.------------------

Are you talking about the war against al-Qaeda, the war against Afghanistan as a whole, the war against Iraq, or all of the above?You know, it's kind of easy to forget, but both Iraq and the occupied territories have sizable Arab Christian populations. Who have been living for literally millenia without conflict. Our recent actions, however, have been heavily excaberating the conflict. For millenia, they used to live alongside their Jewish populations as well, in peace; the British occupation of Iraq, the Iraqi expulsion of its Jewish population, and the Israeli expulsion of many of the Palestinians in Israel/Palestine... well, we know what happened because of all of that. We must take extreme care to not cause the same thing again... we're already partway on that way. I know a friend who spent Christmas mass last year in Clock church in Baghdad... and everyone there was already starting to get edgy. I worry about them now, the situation can only be far worse.------------------
