Re: ask yourself
If you were to read the bible you would see that we only in truth have one maybe two rules.. first is to believen his only begotten son Jesus the Christ and second is to love each other as he loved us. Hmm... well, is it one, or is it two? You don't seem so sure. If there is only one or maybe two rules, I presume this means that we can ignore the rule about homosexuality. And the one about stealing. And the one about murder. And the one about adultery... ------------------ o--greyline--o

Re: ask yourself
there are numerous thousands of encounters with faries happening everyday over all the earth... I have read so many accounts of the fairy dust power of fairies that I can not even begin to start... I implore the fairies that they open your eyes, certainly that they remove the blinders from your eyes that have masked you from this. Here is one you can start with "Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book" .. .. any of them will have repleat accounts of fairies and their wonderouspowers... here is another, certainly you have a Society for Creative Anachronism club in your area, go and talk to some of there people and certainly you will find that even in your own community there have been fairy sightings... Look up Sir Arthur Conan Doyle... you don't have to look very far.. ask your family members which have seen fairies... [This message has been edited by schrafinator, 03-30-2003]

Re: ask yourself
Your failure in looking at my reply about the rule(s) is that you assume you know the way Jesus loved us... read 1 Corinthians 13... read the Gospels... meditate on it day and night... do not group to yourself with itching ears those whom would teach against these writings... I came to the conclusion of believing when I put Jesus words to test... I am still a far cry from being perfect, but Jesus is in my heart and he is perfect... I look forward to the day his love is perfected in me... at the least I have the first part... believing in the only begotten son of God and I am on my way to allowing him to perfect his love in me...

Re: ask yourself
and again I will tell you that I believen in fallen angels... They lost there authority but they still have power... I bind your imploring to these unclean spirits in the name of Jesus, the Lord of all Lords the King of all Kings.

Re: ask yourself
read 1 Corinthians 13... read the Gospels... meditate on it day and night It appears that this meditation had caused a short circuit and distorted your view of reality. If you try hard enough, be it through meditation or something else, then you can convince yourself that anything is true. If you limit yourself to reading the New testament then you are missing out on so much in life. Try not to take the Bible so seriously, it is, after all, just a collection of stories. Best Wishes Brian. ------------------ Remembering events that never happened is a dangerous thing!

Re: andya
The Quran declares the Bible to be a true revelation of God and demands faith in the Bible. Sura 2:40-42,126,136,285; 3:3,71,93; 4:47,136; 5:47-51, 69,71-72; 6:91; 10:37,94; 21:7; 29:45,46; 35:31; 46:11 All these above texts presuppose the availability of the true revelation of God to the people of Muhammad’s day. Sura 3:71,93; 10:94; 21:71 A true Muslim is obliged to believe in all the revelations of God. Sura 2:136; 4:136; 29:46 The Quran makes no distinction between God’s revelations Sura 2:136 The Qur’an claims that no one can change the Word of God. Sura 6:34; 10:34 Passages where Jesus is unquestionably called God Heb 1:8 Father addresses son as God Jn 1:1 The word was God Phil 2:6-8 Jesus existed in the form of God Jn 20:28 'My Lord and My God Isa 7:14 "A Child Will Be Born And His Name Is Called": "Emanuel: God with us" Isa 9:6 "A Child Will Be Born And His Name Is Called": "Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace" More than a just a prophet: Jn 6 Jn 5:17,18 I and Father are working: equality Jn 8:53-59 "Tell them "I AM" sent you." (see Ex 3:14) Jn 10:30-33 I and Father are one: equality peace, ~j

Except that all these alleged miraculous healings have not put the mainstream medical profession out of business. Now why could that be? It's just like all those perpetual-motion-machine inventors who continue to consume electricity from their local power grid.

Re: ask yourself
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it the position of those who believe in the bible that animals do not have "souls" and that you have to have a soul in order to "sin". In the case that the poor creatures are souless, and if God created them, and there are instances of homosexuality in animals which would then be "sinless" as they have no souls, God knew what he was doing and "created" homosexuality? interesting concept...hmmmmm

And the point of the bump was? After all what have you bumped? A bunch of references to documents which were written with the aim of emphasising the divinity of Jesus, and two ambiguous references from Isaiah. Isaiah 9:6 is translated in ringing terms in the Authorized version as "Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace", which rather plays up the divine aspect. However, check out Strongs dictionary and you'll see that the reference need not be to a God at all, but more like the epithets used of great heroes and dynastic founders. There's not really anything here for anyone to respond to.
