I am wondering, has the Earth always rotated at the same speed?
Our rotation is slowing down due to tidal drag.

Could it be possible that if the Earth was formed by a massive explosion
The current models are that the Earth formed through accretion.

the energy from that would cause a faster rotation and in turn create a sufficient amount of force to hold the water.
I'm confused. I don't think there's any way to levitate something from rotation, unless it's in an orbit.
