Speaking of John Cusack (am I peanut gallerying right?), why was Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil such a bore - I read the book, it should have been a thriller! Cusack's performance seemed singularly uninspired, but he didn't have a lot of help, either. A little dramatic license among the script writers, a little better casting, a little more passion in the directing, and we're talking Nobel Prize, er, Academy Award!

*flips pages, mutters* Damn, I wish Nomar'd get his act together. The Red Sox can do better than this...
The Cubs are in the playoffs for the first time since 1998, and someone in Chicago is moaning about Nomar's woes in Boston? While you're at it you may as well moan about Patriot injuries, Celtic general management and squandered opportunities by the Revolution (I think they're a historical reenactment troup from Lexington and Concord).

You *do* realize they can treat this now!
I live around Boston. I'm from the New York City suburbs (New Jersey to some). I've followed teams from both areas. To make matters worse, Tuna coached the Giants, then the Patriots, then the Jets (and now is coaching Dallas to be a "Tuna former teams" demolition squad, with New England facing Dallas in just 7 weeks). Patino coached the Knicks and then the Celtics. I'm so confused I don't know who to cheer for.
So go Cubs!

So, Who's Winning?
Is it time to do a status check on who's winning so far? No need to vote if you don't think the debate's gone on long enough yet, but maybe some of us would like to register an opinion on the current state of the battle. You could just say who you think is winning, or you could break it down into categories, like who's ahead overall, best humor, most cutting post, etc...
Looks like a draw to me right now.

I see no winner yet - Mammuthus and Quetzal are still neck and neck!
What's this thread's topic again?

b) it's in the FFA, we might as well have some fun with it at Hambre/Carroll's expense - assuming we're not looking at disk limitations. Honestly, I think the thread has had a positive effect on the actual debate, 'tho it's probably too soon to tell.
I'm having as much fun as you guys, not issuing veiled concerns. I have *got* to stop slipping into admin mode when posting as Percipient - makes people gunshy.
