Speaking of John Cusack (am I peanut gallerying right?), why was
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil such a bore - I read the book, it should have been a thriller! Cusack's performance seemed singularly uninspired, but he didn't have a lot of help, either. A little dramatic license among the script writers, a little better casting, a little more passion in the directing, and we're talking Nobel Prize, er, Academy Award!
