There is no more possible discussion, he has met God, he has the ultimate proof. There is nothing I could add, nothing I could debate.
That's true. Either the person is lying to you about their conversion, or they are delusional about their conversion, or they are telling you the absolute truth. There really isn't a whole lot to argue about.
Are you special?
Certainly not.
What about the “others religious” who claim the same thing?
I think virtually all religions have elements of truth to them. Having said that, they all can't be right in the details of each religion because that would leave contradictory claims. They all can't be completely correct and only one or none, can be completely correct.
Why does God only speaks with believers?
I don't believe that He does. I think He does speak to unbelievers. I can only speak from personal experience here, but I think the problem is they are expecting this really elaborate event to come upon them. If you are wondering if you're weird for not hearing God I think you need not worry about that because you aren't.
As you go through life you will accumulate more experiences. Some may seem insignificant at the time, and in many respects, they probably are. However, there may come a time when you ask Him to reveal Himself to you. You may have to wait awhile and during that waiting period, you might grow weary with cynicism. You may go through these bouts numerous times throughout your life. And then one day you may hear something, feel something, see something and all of a sudden these seemingly insignificant experiences may flood your mind in one instance. You can call this an epiphany or whatever else, but what once vexed you was made crystal clear. I can tell you from personal experience that it is one of the most sobering times in a persons life. And you begin to understand that of all of things correlate. And what was nonsensical makes sense. You start to see some engineering that could only be explained by the providence of God.
Its really hard to articulate. Lemme put it in another context. Have you ever seen the "Usual Suspects?" Well, the main detective in the movie is trying to connect the dots of a case. After all of the experiences had come to pass, in an instant, it was all so clear to him. It just comes over you like a wave or a bright shining light.
I don't know what to tell you. Its a personal matter. I couldn't really explain it any better than I could by telling how I "know" that I love my wife. How can I explain something like that? I could recite poetry to you and you may believe in my sincerity, but you won't know what that's like for me.
That's the best way I can explain it to you. Hope that helps. Again, I should reiterate that you aren't weird for it.
