back to apples
If there's 100 of us in the room, and we all think it's an apple, and we take a look at it every 5 seconds for three hours and it's still an apple at every viewing, then until something profoundly suggests otherwise a good working hypothesis is that it's an apple.

I don't, and I can't ever *know* that the other people are real, but if they seem real, and act as if they're real and respond as if they're real, then I'll carry on as if they are untill some evidence appears to make me think they're not.
That's how science works, even the oldest, most well founded laws of physics would need amending if a situation were found where they don't hold.
