According to studies by The National Institute of Mental Health, children of divorced parents have higher incidences of crime, drug abuse, suicide, and behavioral problems.
In the first sentence would it be prudent to ask how many of those surveyed were asked the question in front of their spouses and also if those who answered in the negative may have done so out of social pressure?
In the second sentence I am wondering if there is some reason you connect this to the first by implication without wondering how this implicates more people who
do not engage in extramarital sex as being the ones who divorce and cause the higher incidences of drug abuse, suicide, and behavioral problems?{since
they are in the 80% majority}
