Ah thank you very much. Literary criticism and breakdown isn't my strong point because i tend to be overzealous and try to look at the entirety and context of the book as a whole (in other words doing a textual analysis becomes very time consumming, er a largertime commitment then i am able to put out anyways).
But again thank you very much for a starting list of some broader cultural meanings within genesis 2.
edit: changed otherwise into in other words, otherwise conveys an entirely different meaning then in other words. (one implying i don't want to do the research the other implying i don't have the time available to do the research type that i would like to do i.e. doing it right and not err half assing.) and what is below.
Actually am curious does anyone have a methodology, or frame of mind of doing textual criticism that enables them to walk away? i.e. and break of the study of the text, because the way i do textual analysis is that i do a look at all at once as a solitary project and it is the only thing i can really do at that particular time. I am not really comfortable breaking it up because I feel it then doesn't represent the whole of my effort? (don't know although i'm beginning to realize this similiar approach definetly isn't helping me in my classes hehe).
But if someone does have a recommendation for a methodlogy or a frame of mind it would be appreciated.
