Blood sacrifice
quote:
Did God reject Cain's offering because it wasn't the best of his crops, or was it because, unlike Abel's, it was not a blood offering?
Animal sacrifices were a type of Christ. That is why veggies were not acceptable. The blood of the animal = type, the blood of Christ = anti-type. Cain knew that as surely as Abel did and could have traded for an animal. What could have made him so arrogant that he would not obey?

Fiction.
Animal sacrifices were a type of Christ.
As far as we know (without making up stuff), the principle of animal sacrifice didn't begin until much later. Animal sacrifices can still be a type of Christ even if the first sacrifice was not based on that principle.
ok
Abel grasped the principle of redemption and offered the innocent animal for a sacrifice. Which was accepted by God. Perhaps you can tell me why? Why did Abel and why did God? And why did God NOT with Cain?
Or not!
Cain and Abel represent the two kinds of people extant in this world. The obedient and the other.

Re: Blood sacrifice
quote:
No,
Abel gave up something valuable to him (a fine piece of lifestock), rather than the seconds (the fruit that lay on the ground). That is what is important to sacrifice. The giving up of something that is important to you, and the attitude that goes with it.
I'm disinclined toward replies that start with "NO". It means the thinker wants it his way. You may have it.
