Pit bulls suck� Is it in their genes?

In the UK we have any number of moral panics - a few years ago it was Rottweilers and similar breeds of dogs, the result of which was some fairly harsh laws limiting their breeding or ownership (at least that's how I remember it).On the other hand, a friend and I were attacked by this type of dog while in South America - I dread to think what would have happened if I did not already know how to disable a dog.
