congratulations
It is ironic that the sites that seem to rely on banning their opponents are mainly creationist. At least Fred Williams cant run away on his own site like he always does here...or does he bolt when backed to the wall there as well?

Fred has created his own discussion board! What a hoot!
Some excerpts:
  • We want to have as little editing or deleting of posts as possible, so instead we will seek to edit people.
  • MODERATOR POLICY
Since evolutionfairytale.com is a Christian-operated website, only Christians have been selected to be moderators of the site's forum. If you are a Christian and interested in helping us moderate this forum, please contact Fred Williams.
  • I use eachosting for all my websites, and I highly recommend them! - Fred Williams
I'm curious - what's it like there?
Hey, Fred, if you see this, the offer to be a moderator here is still open!
I see John Paul is there. Say hello for me!

I'm curious - what's it like there?
I've heard reports of lots of banning and post deletions, and I also hear that Willowtree is there after a foray into TWeb.
Unfortunately most of the reports were at No Answers in Genesis Message Board, where topics are gone forever after they scroll off. There's some discussion at Fred Williams "debate" board - waste of electrons.

Maybe we should rename it the Fred Williams Delete Board, or maybe the Fred Williams "Now You See It, Now You Don't" Board, or how about the Fred Williams "Take the plunge and get expunged" Board, or even the Fred Williams "whale of an flailing fairytale" Board.

What is really funny is ol' Willowtree over there spouting the exact same nonsense that got his hat handed to him here, except under admin protection. See what happens when you persecute the poor creos, Percy? "Percipient the Persecutor".

Good ol' Fred
I went hammer and tongs with ol' Fred Williams at the evolution fairy tale site back before he had a forum and only used a guestbook. Even though I have been banned, I am still a part of the site, as I am in the "debates" section from where I went after Fred one on one. Anyone who cares to read it, please feel free to let me know how poorly I did.
He also had a "dunce cap classics" section at one time, and I had several.
Are you reading this, Fred you lying son of a gun? I hope so.

Re: Good ol' Fred
I note on reading that debate with Fred that he changed the subject of the debate ion the title. I challenged him to provide a logical or scientific defense of creationism, and then after all was said and done, he posted it with an entirely different title. Information was never discussed in the lead up to the debate.
At risk of an admonition form the admins, Fred Williams is a damned, no-good liar. He is the very worst that the creationist movement has to offer.

Re: Poor ol' Fred
Good point but it's the common convention to make sure the link explains where it is going. Otherwise how do people know it is work safe?

Personally, I refuse to debate this topic, or pretty much any other topic, via email. The odds of convincing someone motivated not by evidence but by ideology are infinitesimal at best. Here, at least, there's the possibility of convincing a lurker. Not to mention, the public nature of the forum keeps people on the up-and-up.
But if you have the stomach for it, good luck.
They gave up long before I would have. These folks were novices to the debate and the related science, really, even though they have this extensive website.
I knew I wouldn't EVER convince them. All I wanted to do was point out as many glaringly obvious errors and lies as possible before they blocked me. I only ever replied to their e-mails, too. I wasn't about to chase them.
I knew it wouldn't last.

Yup, great point. You can edit the post and change what I put in to a much better description. I know you can, I know you can.

tormented
I suspect that I will be shortly edited out of existance for daring to question the conduct of the mods over at:
Bot Verification
heh, I see willowtree is there ... and still misbehavin.
In his article "Ignorance is No Crime"
Search | Free Inquiry
Dawkins discusses the torment of some people:
I don't withdraw a word of my initial statement. But I do now think it may have been incomplete. There is perhaps a fifth category, which may belong under "insane" but which can be more sympathetically characterized by a word like tormented, bullied, or brainwashed. Sincere people who are not ignorant, not stupid, and not wicked can be cruelly torn, almost in two, between the massive evidence of science on the one hand, and their understanding of what their holy book tells them on the other. I think this is one of the truly bad things religion can do to a human mind. There is wickedness here, but it is the wickedness of the institution and what it does to a believing victim, not wickedness on the part of the victim himself. The clearest example I know is poignant, even sad, and I shall do it justice in a later article.
People like willowtree and {john jaeger\spiderMBA} (if anyone here knows him) have this anger to their posts that I can only attribute to this torment.

Wow. Willow has really gone off the deep end big time! Thanks for the link. I knew he could be vitriolic, but I've NEVER seen anything like this before. Whew...
