Well some of us are not good at spelling. As a matter of fact, everyone on this forum who has corrected me in my spelling, has been caught mis-spelling words.
To all of you, I have this to say, and if you can read it, let's put the spelling error thingy to rest.

I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdgnieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the human mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Your spelling is getting worse. But, I don't think it is cricket to pick someone up on their spelling or grammar at a discussion board. Brian.

Anything close to as bad as your example should be filed under "don't bother reading".
Some misspellings - No big deal; Massive amounts of misspellings - Big deal. Now, am I spelling "misspellings" correctly? I'll plug it into "Word" and find out. OK, "Word" does not flag it as being incorrect. Moose Professor, geology, Whatsamatta U Evolution - Changes in the environment, caused by the interactions of the components of the environment. "Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will piss on your computer." - Bruce Graham "The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." - John Kenneth Galbraith "I know a little about a lot of things, and a lot about a few things, but I'm highly ignorant about everything." - Moose

dude. just pass it through a word processor first. it's not so hard. if you are aware of your own shortcomings, the idea is to fix them.

Unless your gay? Why would you bring that into the conversation?
I would pass it through a word processor, if I got paid to do this. I don't have a whole lot of time, there is way to many gays to bash in this life, and I am far from done. Plus, I am employeed as a national bigot at the fundie conventions around the world, so I have to stand in front of a mirror and practice holding a straight face while saying things like..... Besides, all the quotes from the people I quote come up as errors, and I don't feel like correcting everyone. Just explaining what is, and what isn't. Lighten up, I don't even take myself as serious as you do.

It's part of the Google toolbar and it's perfect for discussion boards. You type your message into the box, then you click on Google spellcheck. It works instantly, it highlights all your spelling errors in red, and you can click on each one to get a list of suggested spellings to select from. You can ignore any highlighted errors that aren't really errors, like member names. You can find it at:
I think they have it for both IE and FireFox. --Percy

Besides, all the quotes from the people I quote come up as errors, and I don't feel like correcting everyone. Does anyone else correct misspellings in EvC quotes they put up? Could this "wanting the best for another person" be called Applied Christianity Does anyone else suffer from this problem? All of a sudden like, you start hitting the oh so familiar keys in a way that makes you type letter combinations in the rwong way. Like no matter how slow you go to try to rwite the a word, you'll keep on rwiting it the rwong way. And then it disappears...noly to be replaced by some other letter sequence that wno't work. If so don't wrory...it passes after a time This message has been edited by iano, 02-Feb-2006 12:02 AM

Could this "wanting the best for another person" be called Applied Christianity Wanting the best would be an awesome thing! But when people try to associate your spelling ability with the validity of your message, then it is not wanting the best, but outright invalid criticism. I stand by my OP.

It frightens me that I can read all these abominations with hardly a pause. The brain is an amazing instrument.
Of course, I've been reading Rat's posts for a while now.

One problem with language recognition programs is that English is, as anyone can sea, a very elusive tongue. When a gnu word or phrase comes along it is readily added two the body of language. English can be as light as heir or as heavy as led. It can be soft as flower sifted through your fingers. It often can be only understood when red in context and many associations can be maid as the language grows. Know one can really tell when something is knew or simply an adaptation of what others new already. It flows along like the see, wave upon wave two the end of Thyme. I wood wish that it was easier four the audience to understand but fore many it is like trying to see the trees threw the would or the flour in the meadow.
