Evolutionist, why do you enjoy debating creationists?

There is a certain intellectual stimulation to discussing any topic. I doubt, however, that this little piece of the electronic world will have any influence on the larger world.
I also expect to learn something about the Bible, Christianity, and religion in general, and also about aspects of science. Moose ------------------BS degree, geology, '83 Professor, geology, Whatsamatta U Old Earth evolution - Yes Godly creation - Maybe

That's why I like debating them...it's entertaining. Oh, plus, very, very occasionally, you can get one to actually do some research, maybe read a book, and LEARN something about the scientific theory he dismisses, invariably based on virtually no knowledge of it.

quote: And if you DID say it about evolutionists, your comment would be nonsensical, since evolutionists are familiar with creationism, its arguments, and its propositions. Creationists are not familiar with evolution. They invariably know virtually nothing about it.

[/b][/QUOTE] Are you under the impression that any creationist position is based on lack of knowledge?

I'm not sure a person can get through college, high school, junior high, or even grade school without learning about evolution. However, it is intirely possible for someone to go through life without studying the creationist side. I think it is absolutely safe to say there are more evolutionist that haven't heard the creationist side than their are creationist that haven't heard the evolutionist side.
