I'm using an older version of Mozilla. Apparently version 1.6 (or mayber revision 1.6 of version 5.0).
You think it will bring along the old bookmarks etc., if I upgrade to Firefox?
You still need Internet Explorer, to get Windows updates. The question is, are those updated just fixes for Internet Explorer?

Just installed Firefox
No obvious differences between it and my previous version of Mozilla. Things just laid out a little different.
One thing I did notice, is that Firefox does not have the "Window" feature in the topbar. The previous version did, and that was where I go to get to Composer.
Anyhow, the old version is also still on the computer.
How do you track and get the Firefox security etc. updates? I presume they don't send you notices like Microsoft does for Windows/IE.
Well, gotta go do some real work elsewhere.

For whatever it's worth, this is the Help > About Mozilla information of the previous version I was using (and might sometimes continue using).
Mozilla 1.6
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
I also had used an earlier version.
Anyone else using or having previously used earlier than Firefox Mozilla?
And why is Rrhain apparently still using IE?

Re: or spyware
I already had the current version of Ad-Aware, but I downloaded and installed SpywareBlaster also.
But SpywareBlaster will not run. I get the following message:
Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version
File "MSVBVM60.DLL", error 1157"
Anyone have any hints on fixing the above problem?

Firefox lock ups
Firefox sometimes locks up on me when I do downloads. My prominent example is when I try to download my alltopic database:
http://www.lakenet.com/~mnmoose/alltopic10-24-04.XLS
(Note: This link will go bad in the next few days, as the 10-31-04 is put online)
Part of the problem seems to be that Firefox tries to access my A drive (floppy) for no apparent reason.
I think I've also had lock ups in other sitauations.
Still using the older version of Mozilla sometimes. Sometimes at same time as Firefox, sometimes not. Do have the cited lock up problem even if older version is not active at the time. Is the problem because of my having two Mozillas on my computer?

Re: ddl file
OK, I finally got around to downloading the ddl file (in zip form).
Doing a *.ddl search of my computer seems to indicate I have no ddl files on it. Where should I install the new file?
Running Windows 98 Second Edition

Firefox critical update - Won't install for me
Firefox sent me a notice that a critical update was available.
I twice downloaded the update (apparently a new version (1.03) and not just some sort of patch), but both times it failed to install.
Anyone know about this?

Re: Firefox critical update - Won't install for me - BUMP
Anyone else having updating problems?
Do I need to update to version 1.01, then 1.02, then 1.03, instead of 1.00 directly to 1.03?
