Identity by descent would be falsified but not descent via a non-teleological process. You see, we are back to the fact that science has no test to distinguish design from non-design.
Now that depends on what the subject is.
You can go back as far as you like until there is no data, other than the observation that something actually
is, of course, & then claim that methodological naturalism & science are equally ignorant. But so what? ID doesn't become a better explanation because science has no data with which to infer.
