ONE verse is unambiguous. The verses that disagree with it are equally unambiguous. Unambiguous yes + unambiguous no = ambiguous.
Read it. It's unambiguous. Faith writes:
That would be the No Sane Exegete fallacy. As every sane exegete for centuries has affirmed. And our geese will blot out the sun.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or does it come naturally? There is nothing about Jesus Christ's life, teaching, words, and deeds which suggest He wanted anything for Himself by which CONING the world was a way to obtain it. I didn't say a word about Jesus. I said YOU, jaywill, member of Evc forum. I said that YOU might be trying to con people or that YOU might be rube enough to believe the rubbish that you preach.

Time has already told. Your misrepresentation of the Bible has been exposed repeatedly in this very thread. And instead of standing up for what you supposedly believe and addressing the criticism, you invariably run away. That does not seem like the behaviour of an honest man. And time will tell who was cheated and who was given the real straight truth. And our geese will blot out the sun.

Or it could refer to jaywill, Faith and Phat. But we could also argue that "many false prophets will appear and deceive many people" could actually refer to him.And our geese will blot out the sun.

A cold-fusion reactor that doesn't work "yet" is a failed cold-fusion reactor. It is a failure until it ceases to fail. You can't say it isn't a failure just because you really, really, really believe it will work "some day". First of all a prophecy which has not YET been fulfilled is not a "failed prophecy."And our geese will blot out the sun.

As I pointed out recently, it's not an isolated passage - it's a trend that goes back to the Old Testament. I have no quarrel with the basic message of Matthew 25, but I hardly think it is enough with which to base one's entire belief. What's frustrating about you guys is that you don't think what the Bible SAYS is "enough" - you have to make up a lot of garbage like original sin and blood sacrifice to confuse the issue. And our geese will blot out the sun.

"This generation" might not be a calendar date but it's definitely a deadline - and well past its best-before date. There is no such thing as a dated prophecy. And our geese will blot out the sun.

You're not reading it correctly. You're just making up what you wish it said. Unless you read it correctly. And our geese will blot out the sun.

We've been through that already. The Bible says a lot of things. You're just cherry-picking the ones you like. The Bible SAYS those things....And our geese will blot out the sun.

Why not? He was prone to a lot of human foibles. Jesus couldn't make a mistake like that. And our geese will blot out the sun.

If Jesus wasn't susceptible to sin, there would have been no point in Satan tempting Him. Jesus had not one human foible. And our geese will blot out the sun.

YOU didn't answer it. I pointed out that it only takes one ambiguity to make ambiguity. They specifically answer your false complaint. And our geese will blot out the sun.

Besides His tantrum in the Temple, He destroyed an innocent herd of pigs and he withered a fig tree. Anger seems to have been one of His weaknesses. He also used perfume on his feet - I don't know if that was vanity or just plain selfishness. He prayed to be excused from the cross. On the cross He practically denounced God for forsaking Him. Sounds pretty human to me. Name a few. Seriously, you should know this stuff. And our geese will blot out the sun.

You said He had no human foibles. What could be more human than susceptibilty to sin? Who said Jesus wasn't susceptible to sin?And our geese will blot out the sun.

No, they are not unambiguous in the Bible. I showed you the contradictory verses. The only thing that's unambiguous about it is your cherry-picked preference. I was answering your claim that Christians made up original sin and blood sacrifice rather than relying on the Bible. They are both unambiguously in the Bible. And our geese will blot out the sun.

I gave you examples and all you give in return is unsupported denial.
Jesus never did anything that was not absolutely perfect and correct. Faith writes:
Pointing out that He was human is not denigrating. He's a lot more impressive as a human who resisted temptation most of the time than as a God who could do no wrong. The way you denigrate His noble actions and words is positively nauseating. And our geese will blot out the sun.
