Our ancestors have always tried to explain what they could not understand. For example they said that thunder and lightning was when god was angry with you. Famine or 'no rain' was a curse; and it goes on and on. We still cannot understand how we came here and what our purpose is; so we have to find some answer and what is better than a 'mythical being!
