'apart from' does not mean it isn't evidence.
I can point to multi-millenia-old documents arguing about almost any whimsical thing, from the edge of the earth and sea monsters to the Greek Pantheon. It's worthless.

I know it's about belief.
The same belief that Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Shintos.... (etc) have.

illuminate me."

Re: I Meant It
Mike the wiz,
I wanted to encourage your posts, which display "your good works" in becoming involved, humble, and dutiful, all to the glory of your creator.
And to commend your wisdom in not "casting your pearls before...." those who are not likely to get it. God Himself is busy deluding those who "have not received the love of the truth," which I understand to mean, who have no answer to the question, "How can I know whether this idea or that is more true?" They have no epistemological agenda, are as you have noted, a law unto themselves. If we want to work with, and not against, the Lord, we have to let Him delude away those who have chosen to be ignorant of the truth, by having no plan to get more of it.
Another commandment keeper.
Stephen

What a nice God you have. Is that why he removed the missing isotopes and placed light to appear en-route from stars billions of miles away?

"Illuminant light,
illuminate me."

God is not nice
Rei,
I didn't pick God, I just discovered that He is out there in the same way that radioactive rocks and viruses are out there. Something, somebody, I have no real choice but to deal with, because they are there and they matter to my life. Making free will trump knowledge, which He does, is not "nice" in the sense that, if someone chooses to be deceived (blue pill in the Matrix?), He gives them what they choose.
But delusion, not deception. He is that kind. Delusion is telling the truth so that the arrogant misinterpret it, and draw a false conclusion. Deception is an outright lie, usually mixed with truth to appear believable.

I needed that
Thanks Stephen, I hope you're still around. I disappear sometimes and find hidden goodies when I come back.
I hope we do keep our commandments as you say, and God go fully with you also. Our's is a lonesome task at times, but I needn't tell you - A sometimes necessary one. But as you say, I can only tell someone about Christ so many times before realising 'those who have chosen to be ignorant of the truth,' are very intent on their Godless journey.
God bless, and seek heavenly destinations - Mike.
