Actually dear, there are only three posts by administrators in this thread.

1. the initial move to debate
2. a request that you take a discussion of evolution to a more appropriate thread.
3. the only general post concerning topic.

I have been attempting to follow this thread off an on over the holiday and will admit to being totally lost. I may be wrong, and I'm sure I will be corrected if that is so, but I don't think I'm that clueless. I think the thread itself is pretty incomprehensible.I think that anyone asking for clarification of a point, or evidence of an assertion should ask in no uncertain terms. The opposition should then immediately answer or link to the post where it was already answered.We do not ask that every point in every thread be referenced each time, but when asked we expect the request to be honored. I have the time now for the next week so I will be keeping a closer eye on this thread.

I posted in msg 64 what needs to be done. I expect all parties to abide by what was written. No more name calling, or snipping at others. When asked for reference for a specific issue I expect it to be given. That goes for both sides. I'm not going to go into the "he said, she said" issues but will be watching from now on. Both parties will start over and make their requests of the other.

Since you guys can't play nice with each other and get on with the damn thread I'm closing it down for a short time. When I reopen it I expect posts to revolve around the topic. When requesting a reference act like its the first time. When answering a request be nice about it. There will be rebuttals and more questions. It is not a personal attack (or it better not be at any rate)Take any problems with my decision to the appropriate thread in my signature.

umliak, a statement of belief is just that, a statement of belief. No one here will deny you that belief. A statement of fact is something different. A fact will have evidence to support it. A fact will be a fact no matter the worldview of the observer.If you want to reword your assertion on tongues to be a statement of belief then it can be dropped. If you continue to argue it as a statement of fact then you are going to be continually asked for evidence to support it. Websites of others that believe in something does not make it a fact.

That is not what was said umliak. Something that would require a miracle for someone else to believe = a belief.A fact would not need a miracle, it is something that would be a fact no matter the religious belief of the observer.A language is a communication, if no one else understands what is being said than no communication is taking place. Sort of like in the thread.Ella Fitzgerald is the Queen of Scat. Is it a real language? I don't think so.
