Which is why the right refuses to admit to the grievous errors commited by Bush and co, right? By the way did you see the CNN documentary called "Dead Wrong" where administration officials, and other intel analysts admit there were no WMDs and detail how the whole thing was botched... even Bush's handpicked conservative WMD finder?
Link to the documentary. Were their WMD in Iraq? Yes. Are they there now? No. The question is where did they go? And, again, if Bush was wrong, so was everyone else. Also, again, there was more reasons than WMD for going into Iraq.

Yes, Jesus was talking about STONING A WOMAN TO DEATH when He made that statement. That doesn't mean that christians don't take a stand when something is wrong or stand for what is right. I have cast zero stones at people. I've shot a few, but only because they were shooting at me first. On this particular issue, do I think homosexuality is wrong? Yes. Am I going to voice that? Yes. Am I going to toss some arguments I find funny/ridiculous in my signature? Yep.

Even in this current state, with insurgent attacks become more and more common and more and more deadly This is an innacurate statement.
If all we're gonna do is continue what we've been doing and if we're now willing to accept the replacement of a secular (albeit cruelly repressive and genocidal) regime with an Islamic one, then we've so drastically lowered the bar that I can't see what peace there is left to keep. Afghanistan is an democracy based on Islamic law (suprise, the US is a democracy based on christian law) and is considered a success.
I don't feel like we're honoring the dead soldiers of this war by "staying the course". What would you propose we do?

I don't think that the casting the first stone comment by Jesus was to teach people not to thropw stones, it was not to judge I can judge people based on their actions. I can't pass judgement on them. 2 different things.

If that is the case, and yet terrorists are created in each of those nations, then what is the connection between democracy and avoiding terrorists? Do those countries support the terrorists organizations (money, support, aid) or do they attempt to crack down on those terrorists? The answer is no. There is a difference between a terrorist living in your country and that country supporting that terrorist.

Ah, that is easier. The answer IMHO is 2 fold. Accountability of the leadership by its citizens and (although this has more to do with free-market commerce) financial freedom for its citizens. Dictatorships (Saddam) are only interested in the businesses that line their coffers. Elected leaders have more of an onus on them to be interested in businesses that help their constituants. If Aknah the Shia can provide for his family, he and his kids are less likely to volunteer for suicide missions. This is in contrast to dirt poor families that have nothing (in the case of these young boys, nothing to do) and the families get paid for their kids blowing themselves up in hopes of getting 72 virgins, because they certainly aren't getting any action here (unless they rape their cousin, then she is stoned to death).
