Re: another way of pondering the question
And what are those objective and ultimate morals? Can you show these are?

Re: Boasting
That saying is so often misquoted.
The saying is
"The proof of the pudding is in the tasting"
And frankly, I prefer the sweet taste of sentementality rather than the overly bitter taste of 'we are all sinners and corrupt' concept.

Re: Boasting
Respect and pride. Two very important things to give anybody. I had my lawn mowed by someone who otherwise could not work. The pitance I paid him I thought was definately would not be worth the pain that he suffered to actually do something.. but he got something more than just the money I gave him. He got the feeling he was actually earning his way and doing somethign productive.
It would have been a lot easier for me to get someone who would have been a little more dependable. But, a little inconvincence when it comes to how often he could actually do it was more than made up by the fact it gave him a sense of accomplishment.
He is not able to mow the lawn anymore, his son has taken over. This guy determinateion DID teach his son about hard work though.
