Which god? Allah? Vishnu? Odin the Allfather?
Jesus.

Because it's a religion? Why teach religion in a science class? And while we're teaching the lies ofchristiantiy do you also want to set aside time for the Turth of Odin?
I don't know, why teach religion in a science class?? Perhaps these creation museums may be a step in the right direction from stopping you from doing that. At least a step towards being honest about what it is they are teaching, which is belief based, rather than pretending it is science.
quote:
As opposed to the worldview that we're the playthings/slaves of a power mad diety?
No. Nothing like that.

Re: How Sweet it is!
quote:
I am not really sure, what I do know is its not science.
OK, so you talk about things you do not know about at all. Got it. I will have to remember that.
quote:
No idea. I am trying to find a baseline to understand why you think that creationist lies are any different than the FSM and its comical alternative. I don't see how you can differentiate the two.
No idea. I am trying to find a baseline to understand why you think that standard universe origin lies are any different than the FSM and its comical alternative. I don't see how you can differentiate the two.
quote:
You have any proof of this? I am sure there are thousands of doctors who are interested in their job security.
Do you have any proof it is not so? Why bring up doctors?? Do you know some that can tell if there is a spirit in a person???
quote:
Why not let creation science publish perfect science? Its not like the rules are secret. Why should you advocate "imperfect science", do you make a habit of such things in other areas or only when it comes to science?
Who says the museums are based on science any more than your claims of some early big bang? Why would they need to be if you don't really know what you are talking about? ('you' meaning those that teach the standard models)
quote:
None, but what does this have to do with creationist lies?
Well, you claim that the universe started at some point where you have no, as you put it "none" proof at all at all at all. They claim it started at some other point they believe. Take your pick.

I am on topic, I started the topic. I tried to dial it down for the doc already. He missed it.

Re: General items
quote:
Yup. And read it more literally than those who claim to be Literalists. For example there is not one Creation myth in the Bible but several.
I suppose the creative and imaginative mind could stretch that to dozens!
quote:
I don't doubt for a second that you are a Christian or that you believe the universe was created 6000 years ago. The former is definitely your decision but the later is simply a matter of ignorance.
Your saying so is all that is ignorant.
quote:
What makes you think I don't like something about the Bible? I have actually even read it.
So you believe, like Jesus, in the flood, and the first man, Adam?
quote:
Fine, present the evidence of that which is more than animal and show it is something not possessed by all the other animals and we can discuss it.
Fine, present the evidence that there is nothing that is more than animal and show it is something not also possessed by all the other animals and we can discuss it. Meanwhile, admit you know not about what it is you speak.
quote:
Please show where any such assertions were made by me? There is no hate speech involved, more a feeling of profound pity for all the ignorant members of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, sadness that they worship such a small, picayune bling-bling pimp daddy of a god, and disgust at the preachers and teachers and pastors and ministers and padres and priests and other charlatans who are getting rich off the membership of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, who take advantage of them through things like the different Creation Museums and conathons like the 700 Club.
Well, referring to the groups of believers as cons, and cults, and charlatans with a 'pimp daddy of a god' comes to mind! Should I be feeling the love in there somehow?

Re: How noodly be thy appendage?
It was about the creation museums going up. Of course, the concept of creation from a biblical perspective is the underlying concept there. So, things relating to that, are topical.

Re: How Sweet it is!
How narrow is God? How narrow is the concept of creation by God, as outlined in the bible? No one cares about some building as such, the whole idea is what it stands for. If that cannot be discussed in your narrow opinion, too bad.

Well, it seems wrong to you then. The topic is the concept behind what the building stands for. Creation belief as taught in the bible.

Care to come over to one of the science threads and showing how what is being taught is belief based and not reliant on the evidence?
Are you claiming that the science threads are based on evidence? If so, what parts of the evidence? All of it, or just the narrow, piddly little cultish bits of fleshly stuff they chose there??

Re: How Sweet it is!

Well it's not on topic here. And also in the science threads participants are expected to debate the evidence and provide support for their position so they can't just go "nuh uh the earth is young cause the bible says so".
The evidence for what the creation museums teach has not been discussed here that I have seen. They only debate with such a small portion of the evidence in the science forums I have no interest in them. The whole picture has to be discussed or there is no debate, just a 'show trial'!
