Take a break from the debate, kick back, and enjoy conversations on other topics. EvC Forum is for discussion of topics and issues related to the creation/evolution controversy, and creation museums are definitely related to the creation/evolution controversy. It does not fit in the category of "other topics". Topics introduced to the [forum=-14] forum that are actually related to the controversy are usually moved to the proper forum.

Well, don't get too cocky, after all, how many facts does man have the power to review, or even access to?? Enough to know that the earth is old, way older than is presented in this museum as fact or true. That alone means that this museum is LYING about the truth, which should be one reason sufficient to stay away from it. If you want to argue this point I suggest you visit Age Correlations and an Old Earth: Version 1 No 3 (formerly Part III), read the first post and start posting comments there. I'll bet you bail before you finish with the evidence and the correlations in that thread. There is arrogance born of knowledge and arrogance born of ignorance: shall we see who has which? Message 101
No worries, I am aware of the limitations of this part of the forum, and plan to act accordingly. Message 102 (I will remind people that I wanted this in the coffee house, someone bumped it here, don't blame me) whatever, Keys
This is some of the biblical related content to what is in the museum. So that is part of the dioramas used to portray parts of the bible: where is the scientific evidence that says it could be possible? Where is the scientific evidence in this museum or is it all make believe interpretations of the bible? If the later then it is more related to an amusement park than a museum. Well, don't get too cocky, after all, how many facts does man have the power to review, or even access to?? There are quite a few facts that we have access to, far more than enough to prove that most of what is alleged by Biblical Creationists, YEC and those who believe in the Flood Myth are wrong. Creationism Museums are fine as long as they are clearly labeled as only showing the beliefs of the Christian Cult of Ignorance. There is no problem saying that "The Christian Cult of Ignorance believes that the universe is only 6000 years old." It does make Christians look really stupid, but that is just something that those of us who are Christian and realize just how stupid it makes us look will have to learn to endure. Yes, Molbio I was responding to Keys complaint that he wanted the discussion in the Coffee House.

quote: OK, so, are you suggesting that the more important aspects of what the creation museum covers, that are not limitable to science somehow should not have been bumped here?? Better take it up with whoever did that, how could I help you there??If your point is that you think it fits neither here nor there, nor anywhere, fine, I can close the thread, and open one next time that tries to avoid the creation issue. You have access to no such facts. Your cult insult is noted, as is your cultish opinion. Neither do I care who you think looks stupid, because I think you ought to be looking inwards for that sort of thing.

OK, so, are you suggesting that the more important aspects of what the creation museum covers, that are not limitable to science somehow should not have been bumped here?? Let's start with the scientific stuff: if what the museum shows in these catagories are lies then the museum cannot be trusted as a valid source of information -- no matter what the subject is. The museum states that the earth is young: this is a lie.The museum states that the grand canyon was formed by the flood: this is a lie. The museum states that T.rex was a herbivore at some time: this is a lie. Therefore the museum cannot be trusted as a source of truth. You are better off going elsewhere for your "more important aspects" to places that respect the truth. Enjoy. compare Fiocruz Genome and fight Muscular Dystrophy with Team EvC! You have access to no such facts. Your cult insult is noted, as is your cultish opinion. Neither do I care who you think looks stupid, because I think you ought to be looking inwards for that sort of thing. Since no creationist has ever been able to defend against the deluge of facts against the flood I doubt you will be the first. In addtion, you have personally not shown any inclination or ability to actually argue with facts and reason. Do not get so huffy when you have no ammunition. If you think this assessment it wrong then you have plenty of opportunities to demonstrate that. There are flood threads who may contribute to or start you own. In addition, no one was calling you the stupid one. You will not get insulting if you want to continue posting. If you think the CCoI is not stupid or ignorant there are lots of opportunities to defend their ideas. It is noted that you have avoided trying to so far. abeThe next step is short suspensions. I would hope so, since, of course the bible says we could communicate with animals.

You have access to no such facts. Care to back that up on the Age Correlations and an Old Earth: Version 1 No 3 (formerly Part III) regarding the age of the earth? Care to back that up on the Exploring the Grand Canyon, from the bottom up. regarding the formation of the grand canyon? Care to anything than make assertions? Here is what Jar said
"But it is only the members that have a picayune bling-bling pimp-daddy of a god. The preachers and teachers and pastors and ministers and padres and priests and other charlatans who are getting rich off the membership of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, It does make Christians look really stupid,.." -Jar You say "In addition, no one was calling you the stupid one." Wrong! You insult my friends, YOU insult me. Consider this reported, Nosy. Edited by keys, : No reason given.

Care to stop advertising other thread? I have NO interest in what you want to define as science, or posting in a kangaroo court set up I feel is extremely biased. Thanks anyhow.

quote:No, let's not. The more important part of creation museums is God, and miracles, and things of a spirit nature. Let us start there. It's my thread, I set the rules. Maybe I should bump it to faith and belief. Edited by keys, : No reason given.
