Re: As a believer.
God initially never created an evil Satan. He created a free willed Lucifer whom became evil personified by willful (and apparently irreversible) choice.
But the bible really doesn't say that does it? Your whole view of a ha-satan is coloured by medieval myths and stories.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

Re: As a believer.
whats your point?
So you're saying the medieval legends are as valid as the bible for your religious beliefs? You made a very pointed statement about the satan character that seemingly is not backed by your religious book. So now you throw out the book and beliefe what feels right.
.(He gets to the heart later, if people don't become stubborn and arrogant)
No retort needed. Writes itself.
In any faith/belief topic, opinions and beliefs are all that can be expressed.
Fine. But don't try to put out your personal opinions and beliefs as to having some biblical basis. You do realize that this topic is about a biblical story, don't you?

Re: As a believer.
When the police run a red light they never give themselves a ticket.
Many of the times it is legal for them to run the light. Of course there are exceptions and asshole cops out there.
In other words your analogy sucks.

Re: As a believer.
It is blasphemy
This comment speaks volumes.
What is blasphemy for you may not be blasphemy for someone else. Then there are those of us who do not think anything can be blasphemous. Pissing on a bible would mean nothing more than pissing on a text book. (Yes, stated this way for shock value to make a point.)
The church has no authority to promote her.
And if they did(by the way they never have, you are letting your anti-catholic prejudices show), you would have no authority to stop them.

Re: Grace as a necessity
What you wrote means absolutely nothing. Seriously, it is just words strung together to sound impressive, but in actuality imparts no information whatsoever.
Do you really think anyone understands anything from that string of words?

Re: Jesus: His Life or His Death, burial, and resurrection?
The only reason you guys believe He did it imperfectly is because you do not recognize Him as God. You see only a human.
That would be a pretty poor and incompetent excuse for a god.
