an aside
well then re-read the definition from the DOI
If DOI = Declaration of Independence you should know that its not a legally binding document. Rights come from your constitution, you shoudl base your arguements from that.

Re: Laws
May I presume brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews marrying are okay too. Fair enough. Now on a little further. Is there any reason why the laws forbidding bigamy should not be changed and if not should there be any limit to the amount of wives or husbands (of whatever sex) a person may have?
As long as all members of the marriage are adults and can legally give consent then no, there shouldn't be any limits.

Re: Two things, Miss Faith, if you please.
The idea of marriage is what will be destroyed if you allow people who are unqualified for it to have it.
Just like marriage was destroyed when we let people of different colors marry each other right?

Re: Two things, Miss Faith, if you please.
The idea that two men need the protection of the state for their "relationship" is sick.
Just like the idea that black people need "equal rights" is sick?

Re: Two things, Miss Faith, if you please.
Actually I think maybe YOU're the "sick" one since you keep bringing up this irrelevancy.
How is the denial of civil rights to one group of people irrelevant to this topic?

Re: Two things, Miss Faith, if you please.
To compare a sexual aberration with race is sick.
So you're of the ilk that thinks homosexuality is a choice? Great, as an experiment please imagine yourself having sex with another women, now will yourself to become aroused at that thought.

marriage
They simply may not misuse the institution of marriage for their own selfish purposes
What's selfish about wanting to be treated equally?
and corrupt the public imagination with the idea that their aberration is normal.
Oh no, the public might think that blacks gays aren't second class citizens!! The horror!!

Re: marriage
Wanting to be treated equally when you are doing something that is not equal is selfish.
And what is unequal about giving the same rights to married couples.
