re:a has got to be better. and i don't even like zombie movies.
#1 answering the title... women are inherently stupid and obnoxious and should all be killed at birth. well. there are a few exceptions...
#2 answering your blind date question... blind dates are a bad idea. no wait. dating is a bad idea. ew. guh. any decisively single people wanna go see a zombie movie?

rush limbaugh is a cunt. feminist is a very old attitude. however, modern feminism (started in the seventies) is a load of bullshit that was responding to the women's own self-loathing after the returned to the home after world war two. they didn't value their work in the home (which was absolutely invaluable and that attitude was reflected in society prior to the 40's) and thus society grew to reflect that dissatisfaction.

Re: It WAS a good movie, kiddo
no. that's what old feminism was about. modern feminism is about villifying men regardless.

I agree with you that there was a misguided attitude in which the job of homemaker was disrespected by the feminist movement during the 70's, but previously it wasn't even considered an option for a man to stay home with the kids and for the woman to be the primary breadwinner of the family, let alone expect him to do any of the housework or the childcare, let alone for a woman to want to not get married and concentrate on her career, etc.
I would actually say that the seed of the 70's faminist movement was planted in those thousands of women who were forced out of those jobs
after WWII.
no. in reality (ask someone who was alive then) women's working in the home was valued and required. they were viewed as whole and participating members of society. tons of women didn't get married and pursued careers. it just wasn't the norm. women controlled charities and schools and all kinds of things. true they weren't doctors etc. but so what? when they got a taste of factory work, they quit valuing their own contribution. i'm not saying women should be kept in the home, i'm just saying you've been brainwashed by post-feminist bullshit propaganda. which is what all my other comments are about. i don't care what you and your coworkers think, the mainline in women's studies is that men are evil, the masculine is brutish and somehow also clinical (science is bad... it was made by men... we need to make our own science based on feelings. no i'm not kidding.). what you and your coworkers think does not affect how modern feminist theory takes form. i also view myself as a feminist... but in the old way. modern feminism (note i've been distinguishing the two from the start) wants to raise women on a pedestal and oppress men. kind of like an affirmative action thing. they want to create a society with no hierarchy (because it's masculine and bad) and none of the things that the masculine society created. and this is the mainstream.

Re: It WAS a good movie, kiddo
bullshit. so you want people to pay their wives to work in the home? they get fed don't they? they get clothed don't they? if you actually paid them, it would be prostitution. jesus you have a screwed up view of the world.

Re: It WAS a good movie, kiddo
oh get over yourself. she could make her own living ... she chooses not to. suck it. in return for her work in the home, she is provided for. it's not that she's not valued, it's that she's not paid in green. so she should be paid and then have to go buy her own food and clothes? you need to think logically. oh right. i forgot. logic is masculine and evil.

yes it is a flaw in their worldview. they just don't see it. take a women's studies class. it will confuse the hell out of you.

*sigh*
did i say anything about anything besides the home life? no. did i say that old feminism had no place? no. modern feminism is all about destroying 'mankind'. that's all i'm talking about.

Good movies have good writing, good acting, good cinematography. Across the board, these are the indicators of a good movie.
then in that case... it's been a long, long time since i've seen a 'good' movie.

no college is not reality.
but then nothing is. academia is our best translation and interpretation of reality. in reality no body wants to fight or one-up each other or anything. people, in reality, want to eat and sleep in peace and to protect and be with those they love. none of this bullshit really matters. but our societies... the stupid crap that people invent in large groups... warp our primal desires into the kind of garbage you see. then academics filter it and analyze it and then you average people get the dumbed-down result on the discovery channel, etc.
academia is shaping our new society... not the other way round. you may be offended that it is your opinions that don't particularly matter, but deal with it. that's the way life works.

women's studies is not a form of literary criticism.
getting a few more women ceo's and putting birth control on health plans won't solve our problems... those aren't the problems.
the problem is that i can't stand at the bus stop in the morning without a dozen men driving by hooting at me. i don't care how much you pay me as long as you don't directly express your idea that i am simply a body that needs to be fucked.
and academic careers don't end when you decide to have children. they end when you decide you'd rather stay at home to raise the child. get used to it. raising children is a full time job. and until you quit demonizing men who decide to stay home to raise children as "lazy bastards leeching off their women" then women will have to do it... or we'll have ANOTHER generation of kids raised by themselves.
this is not advancement.

tell me the last time you met a chick who didn't act like that? (you can't cite me, you don't know me.) women have always been this way. it's how they compete between each other. they want money because they want security. i want to marry someone who makes a nice paycheck someday, not because i want shiny things like most, but because i know if i get sick, an i always do, he can take care of me. i know he will be able to feed my children, he will be able to educate them, etc.
but look at the women around you. how many of them wear those short ass skirts with words written on the back? i saw a girl wearing a shirt one day that said "moist hottie" or something. i don't quite recall the second word but the first was most definitely "moist". they all dress like whores. it's disgusting. and then they whine and bitch when people treat them like trash.
what is the number one complaint of all nice guys? "chicks date assholes and then whine that there are no nice guys... to us!" why do they know this? because they're right and they are the ones we whine to.
comedy is funny because it reflects the reality that we want to ignore and makes it less scary and hard to deal with. it's funny because it's true.
