Astute.
I love it.
There is no way hostilities for the creationist will cease. It requires something the evolutionist does not have - a live and let live approach.
And so on.
And definitely no parity from those who consider themselves superior because they have studied a little here and there, taken the opinions of other men as gospel to run with them, regurtitating information ad infinitum/nauseum until it someone says it is truth.
Holding 'them' to higher standards? A condescending, belittling remark, unworthy of a thinking man.

Re: Live and let live
From where you sit, Ned.
Not from where I stand. The creationist/Christian who truly understands, will never press the Christian God on anyone. That would be me, Ned. No religion of any kind in a classroom of any kind, and no theocratic government.
That may be difficult for you to comprehend, but I'd give my life for that.
Any Christian, who'll suggest otherwise, misrepresents his Maker, and I'd go so far as to say, is immoral and deadly and will be stopped.
There are many others like me, believe it.
So, your live and let live is contingent on getting what you want, eh? You're not saying much. I'll grant it to you, even if you don't grant it to me. Hope that suits you.

Re: Live and let live
Are the words below yours?
Unless I misread your contingency, then they carry a contingency.
If I don't dance to the music you play, you'll do what?
-------Au contraire! If the creationists will stay out of the classrooms and in their churchs then we will all (almost I must admit) be glad to live and let live.
However, the creationists are the ones who have a problem with the live and let live idea.-------
Creationists are the ones that have a problem........geez, Ned, why don't you lump them all together. It's evident you've encountered each and everyone of them with identical results....and I just told you I couldn't care less what you believe. If it makes you happy, then I'm happy, too.

Re: Topic in Trouble
who would be so out of his mind to make positive claims of the existence of God? Certainly no one who knows the foundation of God/man relationship is based on faith.
You know, that thingie that cannot be seen, or measured, or at all explained, or even understood by those with the experience.
neither could a Shaolin proof the spiritual side of his craft, not even to himself. it's just 'there'.

Re: Topic in Trouble
You trying to proof the existence of God?
Go on, are you mad?
The Bible is meant to be disregarded exactly the way it is and for the reasons it is.
This book has stood the test of time and will continue to do so despite 'knowledge increasing, men running to and fro'.
And human beings discovering so many wonders extant can decide and do decide that it all just happened - from nothing.
