Re: Please pick & choose to find if God's plan of salvation in Christ Jesus is different?
A Chrisitian private school in Corona, CA, recently made the news when the megachurch associated with it, Crossroads, decided to get more involved with the running of the school. Wanting to have a 100% Christian staff, they dismissed all the teachers and staff who weren't Christian. Those "non-Christians" were indeed believing and practicing Christians, just not of the correct denominations.
Reminds me of an old joke. A group of newly departed souls arrive at Heaven and are greeted by St. Peter who then escorts them to their rooms in the Mansion of Many Rooms. Riding up the elevator, he explains about the place, including that each denomination has its own floor. As they approach one floor in particular, he asks the newbies to remain silent until they pass that floor. After passing that floor, one of the newbies asked why they had to be silent. "Oh, that's the {insert appropriate denomination, such as Baptist or Evangelical}. They think they're the only ones here."

I personally had one of those "light bulb" moments reading the Bible! I had been baptized a year before when I decided to read what I was supposed to believe. I quickly found that I couldn't believe any of what I was reading, so I realized that I couldn't be a Christian. That was about 45 years ago and I've been an atheist ever since. Best decision I could have made and I owe it all to reading the Bible!
