While no longer as much of a factor, bandwidth limitations at one time drove places of business to install software to cache frequently requested information, such as images. While there's no way to know for sure, most likely your place of business is caching images rather then fetching them anew over the Internet with each request. How often a given company will flush the cache is anybody's guess, but a common time period is a couple days.
