OK, this is rather silly. I traveled to Transylvania in 2006 (Oct, FRIDAY the 13th, to be exact. Really). Here's a photo of myself at the real "Dracula's Castle" (Castle Poenari). My friend and I had a guide who was rather embarrassed/indignant about tourists seeking Romanian vampire legends. Although my friend (an eastern-European history minor) and I were most keen on medieval history, we also delighted in the western tales of Dracula, so we occasionally sneaked photos, behind our guide's back, wearing plastic fangs. Silly. One of my better trips though, the history of eastern europe IS fascinating.
