Re: DNA systems Logically compute to design
The DNA systems function like a computer.
No, they don't. They really don't. The only similarity I can think of is that they both using digital systems; although, even there, DNA does a lot of stuff which isn't digital too.

Hi Tony,
This doesn't appear a reply to my message. When you're writing your replies, if you click on the little 'reply' button in the bottom right of the post you're replying to it creates a link between your new message and the message you're replying to.

Re: DNA systems Logically compute to design
Do you want to bet on that one.....
By all means, explain my error. Please give details of how DNA functions in the cells of the body and the ways in which this closely parallels the functioning of computers.

Re: ***Bump***
No one has ever shown that software of any kind can be produced naturally (non-intelligent source) that is basically superior to human knowledge.
DNA is not software.
1# You underestimate the vast complexity of the DNA software, and the bio-machinery that stores the information, reads it, and creates the finished "product".
Probably. But I do know enough about it to understand that talking about "DNA software" being "read" by "bio-machinery" is a massive mischaractarisation of how DNA and the associated systems actually work.
More importantly, so what if we do? There's nothing about complexity that speaks against evolution.
2# Your dogmatic belief system is blinding your eyes from seeing the evidence is all around us - so clearly exposed.
We are not like you.

Watch those Youtub videos on DNA functions and learn a little more about God's universal bio-technologies.
Youtube? You think I should go to Youtube to learn about how DNA functions? Youtube? Seriously?
Good god, if Youtube is your idea of a reliable source of information on how biological systems function it's no wonder you believe such rubbish. Here's how I know how DNA functions: I've spent the last few months reading my way through Concepts of Genetics, 5th edition by Klug and Cummings. It's about two inches thick, and it doesn't really have space to explain everything.
I've also spent the last eight years working as a professional computer programmer so I'm pretty damn familiar with how software and computers in general work.
I don't go to Youtube to educate myself on scientific topics; and I suggest you don't either.
DNA is not a computer; it does not function like a computer language. It is not software. There is no clear software/hardware divide.

Re: DNA systems Logically compute to design
Once again: I don't go to Youtube to learn Science.
Why are you bringing up Photosynthesis anyway? You've failed to defend your claim about genetics being "software", so why are you galloping on to a new topic?

Re: DNA systems Logically compute to design
I see you're trying to avoid the topic again.
You’re not interested in LEARNING what INTELLIGET DESIGNERS can do with intelligent DNA software, so go way and stop wasting my time.
Oh, I'm very interested in how biological systems work; that's why I'm currently studying for an Open University degree in Life Sciences. What I don't do is go to Youtube for scientific information.
If you have the mentality that NOTHING SHOULD be GOOD ENOUGH to prove God has creations to see, test, examine, record.
Not once in this thread have you provided anything to support your assertion that "God" has anything to do with any of this. All you've done is made the incorrect and unsupported assertion that DNA is software (it isn't), failed to defend your claim when that is pointed out and then dropped that idea altogether and instead pointed to some videos on how photosynthesis works as if this supports your argument.
You need to do better.
