Do you guys know Brian Cox?
In my country that series starts on a few channels at 19:30 on March 16. Then repeated a few times on other channels from 23:00 that same night. Looking forward to it.

I've looked up who Neil DeGrassTyson is (only seen him briefly on one programme before), and he seems to be quite eloquent.

Seeing that you guys are mostly American, have you ever watched programmes presented by physicist Brian Cox? (I'm not sure whether you have or not in the US).

He's presented quite a few programmes aired on Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, etc. in this country.

What a fantastic teacher. He explains things on cosmology, physics, etc., for lay persons like me, to actually be able to start understanding it. He makes it seem as if it is easy. He's a naturally born teacher.

When he started presenting programmes with themes outside of his area of expertise, he got the experts to present with him. What an intelligent move he made. What a genius and a teacher.

Have you US guys ever heard of Prof. Brian Cox or seen him in operation?

Re: Do you guys know Brian Cox?
Thanks, I'll watch it at home tonight. My employers do take a dim view on watching videos not related to work on their computers...

Re: Do you guys know Brian Cox?
Thanks AZPaul3. So, some guys in the US know him? He's such a great teacher.

Where I live they tend to show American programmes such as things such as 'Ancient Aliens' or "American Pickers" on the History Channel.

Showing that on the History Channel really tends to start getting my blood boiling.

No wonder a lot of young South Africans think that Hitler was a comic book character such as Mickey Mouse.

Sorry, I didn't know that you had a channel called 'The Science Channel' over there. We don't.

Is it an easily obtainable tv channel?

Re: the crazies are out, and fumbling at the mouth
Scenes like this tell me that the US really stuffs itself as time progresses in the twenty first century. It shows that maybe it is more realistic for my country to be aligned with China? The super power of the future. It seems as if the US might be left behind as a quaint relic of the past.
