It's artificial, to be sure, but so is enforcing alternation of posts, scoring, etc. It changes the way I'll write, and that's OK. No 1 or 2 sentences posts, for example. I don't think that a formal debate can be unlimited in duration.
I think that 20 substantive posts is more than anyone should want to read by me.

Oh, I just didn't read carefully. It's that kind of careful analysis that will ensure my victory.
Ten each is acceptable to me. 20 seemed like more than enough, 10 seems potentially limiting, but I can just make those 10 count for more. Call me Mr. Substantive.
And if there's more to say, there's still the rest of this site.

Damn, you're gonna make me use a spell-checker...
I do think that "no edits" is a good idea. I use edits all the time, primarily because I don't spell check, but for this I'm going to need to be more careful and deliberate anyway.

Well, on my monitor, green was hard to read, blue was, well, you know...and it was late and I didn't wanna keep messin' with the colors.
I don't intend to use colored text again, so rest easy.
In the meantime, a good trick is to use your mouse to select the offending text. For me, at least, it turns white on a dark-blue background; your settings may vary.

Just a "bump" to make sure my latest reply didn't get overlooked...Percy has spoiled me with his usual rapid response/summary, so I'm squeaking a little. (You know, "squeaky wheel" and all that).
