[B]K... this really is laughable, it's just so funny to see how you guys actually believe this lie (evolution) 1. I made a big mistake by saying "living organism." What I meant to say is, "No species can become superior to itself."Ex: A dog can't make or become a human... etc, you get the point...
So much wrong with this... There is no such thing as "superior" or "inferior" in evolution. Evolution results only in change. I suggest that you read up on basic Evolutionary Biology because it's clear that you have not ever done so. Here is a good start:
http://www.talkorigins.org/origins/faqs-mustread.html Since I strongly suspect you are a rather young person, I will also include a website geared towards people who haven't been through high school yet:
http://biology4kids.com/files/studies_evolution.html quote: Many, many many more people much more intelligent and much better educated than you or I HAVE thought about it, dear. "Golly gee, I cain't imagine how that happened, so it's stoopit, and I ain't beleevin' it" is not a very intelligent nor compelling argument.
quote: Hovind got his diploma from a documented diploma mill that is run out of a suburban split level house.
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/credentials.html "Hovind claims to possess a masters degree and a doctorate in education from Patriot University in Colorado. According to Hovind, his 250-page dissertation was on the topic of the dangers of teaching evolution in the public schools. Formerly affiliated with Hilltop Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Patriot University is accredited only by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions, an accreditation mill that provides accreditation for a $100 charge. Patriot University has moved to Alamosa, Colorado and continues to offer correspondence courses for $15 to $32 per credit. The school's catalog contains course descriptions but no listing of the school's faculty or their credentials. Name It and Frame It lists Patriot University as a degree mill [3]." Also, here is a link to a picture of Patriot University, that split level:
http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Temple/9917/hovind/wild_hovind.html quote: Um, wrong. Read, educate yourself. Also, nobody is going to take you seriously unless you back up what you say.
quote: Um, no, it was just wrong. Science corrected itself. Happens all the time. Big whoop.
quote: Golly gee, that's an amazing compelling argument! (this kid dun'n believe sumpin', so I rekin I'll fergit aller my edgeekayshun and beleevim, just kuz!)
quote: That is a myth. Read about it here:
http://www.ediacara.org/hope.html quote: It's a load of typical Creationist crap. You need to read some real science.
quote: If water has never flowed there, then that would be evidence AGAINST a flood covering the whole planet, now wouldn't it? OTOH, perhaps you would like to present some of this evidnece for the flood instead of just vaguely assering that it exists. What specific evidence from the flood, compared to all the evidence you have studied which points away from the flood, convinced you?
quote: This is so circluar I am getting dizzy!
quote: I certainly hope you are unter 12 years old.
quote: Wrong. Observations of evolution:
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.htmlhttp://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/speciation.html Lastly, I suggest that you read my sig quote and think about what you so flippantly reject when you say "evolution doesn't happen". ------------------"We will still have perfect freedom to hold contrary views of our own, but to simply close our minds to the knowledge painstakingly accumulated by hundreds of thousands of scientists over long centuries is to deliberately decide to be ignorant and narrow- minded." -Steve Allen, from "Dumbth"

[B]Ok, I'm really disgusted, I can't believe what the world has come to...
When you are finished being disgusted, how about addressing some of the points we have made?
quote: It's not our fault that you don't know anything about Biology, yet feel perfectly comfortable criticizing it. Your ignorance is outpaced only by your arrogance.
quote: Well, we replied to all of what you wrote. Why don't you pick 3 things and respond to them. I'll wait.
quote: That's a nice way to run away from the discuission before it's even begun. Chicken!!! Bock Bock!!!!
quote: LOL!!! No, you haven't. All you have done is assert that evolution has been disproven. You have cited no science, no field reports, no peer-review journal articles. Not even so much as a NY Times editorial!
quote: It's not because you are new here. It's because you have such a uninformed, cartoonish view of Biology that you actually seem to believe. We have heard every one of your "Arguments from Incredulity" many times over, and the fact that you present them simply shows your lack of any real science education. To be uninformed is not reprehensible, but it is terribly shameful to claim something out of willful ignorance rather than from knowledge. If you are truly interested in learning something about science, then read the websites I listed for you. If you are not interested or too frightened to learn about real science, then just realize you are choosing to remain ignorant.
quote: Tell us, how much science education do you have? Are you even out of high school yet? Many of us here have science degrees from university, and a couple of us are practicing academic scientists.
quote: Please explain to us what you think "real" science is, and perhaps we can discuss why you believe the ToE doesn't apply. (Not that I think it is likely that you will stick around to answer this question, or any other)
quote: YES! Didn't you read my reply?? Evolution has been observed!!
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.htmlhttp://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/speciation.html "Three species of wildflowers called goatsbeards were introduced to the United States from Europe shortly after the turn of the century. Within a few decades their populations expanded and began to encounter one another in the American West. Whenever mixed populations occurred, the specied interbred (hybridizing) producing sterile hybrid offspring. Suddenly, in the late forties two new species of goatsbeard appeared near Pullman, Washington. Although the new species were similar in appearance to the hybrids, they produced fertile offspring. The evolutionary process had created a separate species that could reproduce but not mate with the goatsbeard plants from which it had evolved."
quote: The ToE has nothing to do with the Big Bang. The ToE deals with life once it got here. If you go to bed with no snow on the ground, and wake up the next morning with snow on the ground, do you simply deny that the snow exists because you didn't see any snow falling?? Science makes inferences all the time, just like you do.
quote: We can create evolution in the lab, so you are completely wrong.
quote: You are behaving belligenrently and you are heading towards getting a time out. Simply repeating assertions and ignoring responses from others does not fly here.
quote: Apes didn't evolve to humans, and if you would READ SOME BASIC BIOLOGY, you would learn that utterly basic fact of Evolution. Apes and humans share a common ape-like ancestor.
quote: Who said anything about rejecting God?

quote: I am duly impressed, to be sure! However, I am fearful that all someone like our newbie will do is accuse TC and KP of heresy or something and storm off. that's the thing with extreme, radical religious people. They have a very difficult time seeing other people's viewpoint, even if it is only as an exercise to understand the other person's argument. It requires analytic thought and logic, which doesn't seem to be in large supply among young fundy-type religious people.
