Re: Re:Truth

Did Darwin even have a scientific degree, yet you all consider him one of your greatest scientists. Wonders never cease.
No, Darwin did not have a scientific degree.
That's because NOBODY had a scientific degree back then.
Science was not yet a formalized profession like it is today.
Rich men went to university, and they all got a classical education; they studied Latin and Greek, Philosophy, Christian Theology, perhaps some medicine and Law.
If individuals had some interest in nature, they went on voyages and expeditions to document and collect specimens. They formed informal "societies" that held regular meetings, during which these "Naturalists" shared with each other their projects and findings and thoughts.
Biology, Geology, Paleontology, and of course, Genetics, etc., did not exist at all as fields of academic study, anywhere.
So, faulting Darwin for not having a Masters or a PhD in a modern discipline of science when such degrees didn't even exist in his lifetime is pretty preposterous.
Maybe, Tom, you might want to learn a bit of the history of what you are criticising, lest you make yourself look silly again.

Re:
What University did Hovind get his PhD from? (hint: a split level house in a Colorado suburb)
Here's the beautiful main campus building:
Is it an accredited university? (hint: no, it's a diploma mill)
His doctoral thesis should have been published in a peer-reviewed journal if it is legitimate. Is it? (hint: no, you can't, because it isn't legitimate)

But I hear you, I see Kent, Ron, & Walt as men of integrity bucking against the grain of acceptable thought. I can respect that you don't see their bucking against acceptable theory acceptable.
Hovind is a "man of integrity"?
Where did Hovind "aquire" his PhD from, Tom?
What University?
Where is that "University" located and is it an accredited university?
Where did he publish his Doctoral thesis?
