So, that means that you follow a liberal interpretation of certain passages of the Bible.You do interpret parts of the Bible to fit modern ideas. Otherwise, you would advocate slavery and you would believe that all Christians should be able to drink any poison and remain unharmed. You would also believe that a hard firmament into which the stars are "set" is what the sky is made of.Etcetera.

LB, can you drink any deadly thing without harm, and can you heal disease by laying your hands on a person?

Isn't an American someone who retains American citizenship?Isn't that the official, legal definition?
