yet another case of going around in circles sigh.... it should be a given that when I say why do you beleive it to be true? I also mean't why do you have faith in it? (same thing if I am not mistaken sigh...) Yes but why is it true? I believe in it, (belief) and my actions of putting the words into motion (faith) has made this truth known. Well, maybe you should try and uderstand what I am trying to say. You asked why I believ it to be true, I answered, you then changed the question without answering mine, which you admitted. I think you are missing what Mike is saying. He believes that things have happened that he is willing to take as evidence that what the bible says is true. This is totally personal evidence so it is of no value to anyone else but it is the reason he chooses to believe. I don't think you can argue with that.However, if he chooses use this personal evidence to believe things that are demonstratably *not* true using "non-personal", repeatable evidence then that is a different question.He may choose to use this personal evidence as a basis for believing in supernatural non-physical, non-testable concepts. It is clearly not useful when it comes up against natural, physical, testable things.
