According to a recent poll, by the bbc: BBC NEWS | Programmes | wtwtgod | UK among most secular nations
Of the countries surveyed, the UK does best in terms of secularism (still under 50%, but hey), has only 31% of people who believe their God is the only true God, has least belief that being religious makes you a better person, and the highest number believing the world would be a better place without religion.
I'm so proud of my country.

That's outrageous, is this just a US thing? No wonder the across oceaners come down on me hard, they probably think it's the same in Britain or something...
If I recall correctly; there are some parts of America were you cannot be elected to public office if you are an Atheist.
