ID might not be so much aimed at proving God as it is aimed at indicating arrival at the end of a Knowledge spoke. In this case the spoke called biology.
The rate of discovery in biology has never been faster, and it's obvious to all biologists that they're far from being at the "end of a knowledge spoke". Genomes are being unravelled, and there are very interesting things emerging. But the task of understanding the often complex ways that the genes work, and the exciting field of evo-devo, are in their infancy.
Biology is not even halfway along its knowledge spoke (if there is an end to it). The next couple of decades of discovery could be the most interesting in biology ever.
Sorry about the off-topic. Go back to explaining why your imaginary friend wants to be worshipped, but don't trust His views on biology.
