Rusty,
So, no eyes evolving (despite the ENORMOUS advantage they apparently provided) over the course of 3 billion years.......followed by the eye evolving 35 times in the course of a couple of 100 million years DOESN'T suggest something more than naturalistic evolution going on?
You asked for a reason for the Cambrian explosion, & I gave you one. You asked to be educated, you now are.
But for the record, there are reasons the eye hadn't evolved before the Cambrian, there didn't exist enough light to provide the critical selective impetus for vision to evolve. In fact there is evidence of increased sunlight/luminosity at the end of the Precambrian, increased levels of Be10 are preserved in those rocks
precisely where expected, the C/Pc boundary. Be10 is formed in the upper atmosphere & directly correlates to solar luminosity. What a coincidence!
You asked what caused the CE from an evolutionary perspective, presumably because you felt the CE was a particular problem to evolution. You now have a plausible evolutionary explanation supported by evidence. Job done. If you wish to make a separate argument of design, please take it to an appropriate thread. If all you were going to do was make an argument by design, why didn't you just open an ID thread?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world; those that understand binary, & those that don't
