My question to you is what good will the ability to control light do aside from not allowing someone to see something?

I'm of the opinion that it's about as bullshit as Magneto being able to fly.
Magneto can't fly. He can, however, levitate anything that's made of metal. By wearing metalic objects on him, he can create the illusion that he is actually levitating. This is most apparent in X-Men 2 during the scene where magneto escapes from prison.

Actually, now that I have thought it through, if Magneto was powerful enough, he could control just about everything organic. Essentially, all things that are made of things that are bipolar in nature are influenced by magnetic fields. It, however, would require so much energy that it would suck the life out of him.
With that in mind, Magneto can possibly control people's minds to a certain degree. Although not as efficient as prof X, he could probably make people go crazy or suffer from hallucinations.
My question is this. We know that magnetism and electric fields are related. Every life form have some kind of electric field. Is it possible for Magneto to use this to his advantage?
