Re: Insurance
Maybe. I'll wait to find out what the expert on insurance has to say.

Re: I found this, though
quote:
i don't care about the history of alcohol,
That much is clear.
quote:
i just care that you seem to think that anyone who drinks more than some preposterous amount -that you have decided upon but won't share- is a damn drunk and a terrible person because of it.
Not true at all. Where have I ever said this?
quote:
but i also have the opinion that you are a very judgemental person who draws conclusions then scurries around to defend them taking great comfort when something ridiculous backs you up.
Perhaps your opinion is true, perhaps not.
You appear to me as a person who often makes factual claims without being able to back them up at all, often avoids answering direct questions or addressing facts, ignores evidence, values her own personal opinion about everything over science and any expert, and is generally a rather imprecise, sloppy thinker and debater who, when backed into corners, frequently loses her temper and resorts to throwing tantrums and insults.
quote:
now, you've been jumping down my throat
I have? Gee, I thought I was just engaging in debate. You know, providing evidence for claims, asking you to do the same, etc.
quote:
for two days about shit that doesn't matter and isn't even on topic.
Yeah, I'm out here tangoing all by myself, forcing you to paricipate. You haven't been a completely equal dance partner at all, it's true.
quote:
i make one side comment and you go nuts about it.
I haven't gone nuts. I called you on your facts and asked you to back them up. Why is that wrong? You're the one throwing insults and getting upset.
quote:
get over it. you're a pain.
Yes, I expect I am a pain to you.
Don't care.

Re: ADHD
quote:
i don't forget anything, ever.
Everyone forgets things, all the time, period.
quote:
and i don't pepper my memory with my opinions.
Everyone peppers their memories with opinions, all the time, period.
The very nature of memory is that it is a reconstruction, an approximation, of the event. You cannot help but do so imperfectly, and your subjective perceptions, your "opinions", are part of what help you retain memories.
quote:
but then you won't believe that.
Hey, you might be right. Let's test you.
What did you have for lunch on April 19th when you were 6 years old?
What were you wearing?
quote:
ask your precious hubby about nld and memory.
OK, I will.
*waiting...*
Right. My precious hubby, the professional scientist with the PhD in Cognitive Psychology, tells me that people with nld have a very poor memory for non-verbal information, although they may have anywhere from good to superb memory for verbal information.
IOW, people with nld are very good at rote memorisation; they can memorize lists of things that people tell them with ease. However, their memory for everything else is worse than people without this disorder.
So, how does this help your argument?

nothing you read on the internet is true, real, or has any basis in fact. and you take this e-debate thing way too seriously.
Oh, I get it now.
I'm wrong for debating well, and the only factual information is what brennakimi says is true, especially her own personal opinions.
My days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Re: I found this, though

i've never taken you seriously. mostly cause you're just a figment of internet imagination... just like me.
Huh, well then that's me confused then.
You sure seem to moan and whine a great deal about how I pick on you or won't leave you alone or whatever.
Surely, if you didn't take me seriously, you wouldn't care at all about what I wrote to you.
You say one thing, but your actions sure do say another.

quote:
well that's funny then cause it seems to me that everything around me falls into my scale of rote.
So you keep claiming, but so far you haven't answered the question I chose to test your claim.
What did you have for lunch on april 19th when you were six years old?
What were you wearing?
quote:
must be some other explanation.
You haven't yet demonstrated your 100% perfect memory to me. All you have done is claim that you have it.
I can claim to be a math genious, but nobody should believe me unless I demonstrate it, should they?
quote:
and you still haven't told me your qualifications... unless you're simply a voice for hubby...
My qualifications?
Why are they relevant? It should only matter that I present cogent arguments that are logically sound and any factual claims I make are backed up with reliable evidence.Don't think I haven't noticed that you continue to ignore the substantive content of my posts and instead engage in your usual childish behavior.
When you are ready to grow up and discuss things like a grown up, let me know.

I agree with what you say here. So why aren't you capable of holding yourself to this same criteria on other topics (namely sexual issues). Indeed this may have well been me writing to you in the other thread.
Even experts can disagree, holmes, and neither you nor I are experts.
Of course, I may be blind, or ruled by bias or emotion or a biologically- or culturally-based aversion to certain concepts in some areas, and the subject we were discussing in the other thread might be one of them.
We're all like that, though, even you.
I never said I was perfect, or a machine, or without flaws.
Perhaps you believe that you are, I don't know.

Yours is an attempt to bully me into agreeing with you. It won't work.

Re: depressing...
EZ, do you have concerns regarding the effects that alcohol is having upon your body?
Also, does it bother you to be dependent upon a drug to relax instead of being able to relax all on your own?
