Re: How aware are you Americans?
But unless you intentionally tune into the radio station it's quite possible not to know they even exist. They rarely make the news. Untrue. Falwell and Robertson are in the news quite a bit - crap, they advise our president. Ralph Reed used to be covered a fair bit, and may be again depending on what dealings he had with Abramoff. Phelps gets covered some, too. And you haven't been able to avoid Ann Coulter's blithering lately. They get far, far more coverage than either leftist Christians or atheists.

Re: How aware are you Americans?
As for leftist Christians, you must be joking. PBS is crawling with them. Ditto NPR. Network news IS leftists. Oops....I was unclear. The Christian bit that may well exist in those places isn't covered much, outside your Easter comment kind of story. It's explicit with the Religious Right. And network news is centrist. Chiroptera and Coragyps are leftist.

Re: God's judgment
It's a phony "love" that would lie to people. Indeed.

Re: God's judgment
Any time the nation legalizes what God calls a sin we are in trouble. Evil, abominable shrimp-eatin' Americans! And legally, too!

Re: God's judgment
According to the Bible, disobedient children, adulteresses, and witches should be stoned to death,
You forgot Those Who Work on the Sabbath, including gathering firewood.

Re: God's judgment
....not the vaporings of present-day armchair scientists about how it couldn't have happened. Give us a break, Faith! Vaporings? Present-day? Armchair? Three strikes and you're out, lady! It's two centuries' worth of hard work by folks that got their hands dirty in places like Greenland and the Himilayas....

Re: throw back to the Dark ages.
it is therefore directly saying that it is God who brings all the disasters on the world. He really is a spiteful bastard, isn't he?
