Reply to critics
Yes, Nightrain, but I am not into hurting people, because if I hurt someone else, I hurt myself. And this is uncalled for. We must all bond together to benefit the world. For example, I was miserable about Holmes' criticism. I thought I had done him justice. And yet he treated me with contempt. And then there was Moose's remark, that my comments were "high quality drivel." Excuse me? After I've worked so hard and put my blood, sweat, and tears into this project? And he calls it "drivel"? Doesn't he perceive that I have a serious point to make here? Is he that obtuse? And Schrafinator accuses me of sexism? This is what you can expect if you adore a woman. Take it from me, if you admire them they will despise you.

Parasomnium
It does not matter about the gender; I find it an honor to speak to Parasomnium about any matter. He/She knows I have a high regard for him/her.

Re: Reply to critics
Everybody else has been portrayed as crotchety or just funny, but also usually somewhat smart. My character just seems like an idiot.
It's a honor for me that you even bothered to read it. But I think your description is mistaken. The character comes off as someone who is excessively worried about her looks--that was the point. It had nothing to do with the character's mentality.

Parasomnium
Thank you Robin, that's very kind of you. The feeling is mutual.
Yeah, I'm not sure what that's all about. I think it has to do with a common temperament in regards to "wit." We sort of find the same things funny, or something of that sort. And of course there are people who have no "wit" (ironic temperament) at all. And we have to put up with their sorry asses.

I'm sure he doesn't mean yours, schraf.
Her ass is fabulous. I worship that and various other items.
But what does it prove? Where is the evidence?
Do you have any peer-reviewed studies of her ass?

just doing my job
I did not take your play personally, and I did not mean to sound contemptuous, and I apologize for anything I said such that its tone might have conveyed that impression
I was just picking at you, Holmes.
Nothing in this thread can be taken seriously. It's turned into a shambles. The moderators need to step in and do their goddamned job.

The benefits of this topic

Time wasting Post. Please do not encourage this attempt to claim writers block

OK...How about Act II? There is a ball or a dance, is there not? Lets keep this play going.....
Holy shit, do you think one can produce this stuff on the spur of the moment?
It takes time. One has to cogitate. One has to study the various posters: also fornicate (that always helps). But when one is my age, one can only fornicate so often. It's not like one can just get it up on a whim.
Lately, I've been waking up in the middle of the night and laughing about this shit. This is very healthy. There are scientific studies that show that laughter increases your life span, or something of that sort.

Is there no Viagra?
Excuse me? I'm really not interested in drug-induced sex. If I can't get it naturally, then obviously I do not need it.
What a bunch of jackasses you are! That's why the world is over-populated! A bunch of guys sticking their thing into everything that shows signs of life.
You might want to show a little more discretion.

Robin's thoughts on act II: "Going to the celebrity ball"
Obviously Ifen has to enter the picture, in Buddhist robes no doubt. He's been important to me on this forum, so there has to be a place for him. Phatboy will no doubt have to be wheeled in. God knows what I will do with him.
The old standbyes will be there. And they have been acting up lately to the point that there is no end to the stuff one could do with them.
Holmes, Crashfrog, and Randman--what more could a satirist want?
Still, not quite enough material yet.

I have not paid much attention to Tal. I'll study him and see if there is anything distinctive.

Re: True art has no mercy
sure appreciate your abilities in this sphere more than I do hearing the other "N" word or that damnable phrase "this will not do."
The "N" word and "This will not do" (an 18th century phrase) is hereby retired.
