Re: Scene IV, anyone?
The satirist that cannot mock himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
For the quality of mockery is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
Are you different from the rest of us?
If ye are pricked by some comment, do you not bleet?
Or is satire but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more ...

RAZD intermezzo
{{in the shakespearian tradition, a troupe of clowns entertains during the intermission, to entertain the restive crowd}}
Center stage: (jcrawford is digging a grave and throws up a skull. Enter RAZD from stage left. Javaman is beside him, wearing a skullcap.)
jcrawford (to himself): "Since Lubenow considers all people to equally share in the common gene pool of all of our human ancestors who didn't descend from African apes, (Aboriginal Africans included) I will only point out that any ... let's see now, how do I get this (quote) box (unquote) into this hole ... ?
RAZD: "Who's skull is that?"
jcrawford (turning): "This same skull, sir, was Yorick's skull, the king's jester."
RAZD: "Alas poor Yorick! I knew him Javaman, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; ..."
(Enter John Ponce from the right, holding another skull)
John: "Have you guys examined ALL the evidence with this comparison while considering there is no evidence today that random brain mutations are increasing human intelligence or brain size? Or did you determine that was Yorick just by looking at him?
Look at this Modern Human Austrailian Aborigine skull - Fully Intelligent!
It is very similar to Javaman and Yorick's skulls and, therefore, may be a transitional animal somewhere between an un-mutated hominid guy with a smaller head and someone fully human."
Javaman: This claim is not true. Both myself, in scene 180, and RAZD, more elegantly, in scene 146, have argued that, while one can't make simple correlations within a species, there are clear inter-species correlations between brain size and intelligence.
RAZD: "John, You are making the logical fallacy of the argument from incredulity, and it invalidates your point. We also knew this was Yorick's skull from other previous information. Finally, there is no "non-mutated gene pool" so you'll have to go somewhere else to swim."
John: "Let us ask the peanut gallery which skull is Yorick's and which is an un-mutated hominid guy with a smaller head."
RAZD: "Now you are making the logical fallacy of the appeal to anonymous authority ..."
(Omniverous.. beside himself, enters from the rear, approaches John Ponce)
John (turns towards omni): "Excuse me RAZD, but I must go eat lunch now, I'll be back later"
Omni: "Sorry to tell you this John, but RAZD ate your lunch."
John: "Can I interest you in a lottery ticket?"
(The Pub is becoming quite loud and lively.)
Curtain Falls.
PB edit: We can give our playwright suggestions, yet as this is his topic, lets allow him the right of final revisions to his version.
razd -- no prob -- this was more of an "intermission entertainment" than an actual scene (I added some embellishments as well, thanks )
